Having been quoted prices way outside our budget for a complete extension build, we asked Steve to come in and just build the shell, with a view to employing trades ourselves to finish off inside. The job involved demolishing an external chimney stack/removing the fireplace inside the existing house and building a single side storey extension. Steve and his brother, Roger, worked really hard, were extremely reliable and lovely to have around. We hit a few problems along the way (large pieces of scrap metal to hand dig out of the footings; building a shute for the concrete pour because of difficult access, re-routing surprise find water mains) but Steve and Roger sorted it all. They built us a quality extension which ties in extremely well with the existing house at a very fair fixed price. They also did a good job of clearing up, including moving a large and very heavy marble fire hearth for us with the digger. We would totally recommend them and would have no hesitation in employing them both again.
